Will my race benefit me?

Hello everyone, I am a filipino, spanish, and white male in a predominantly asian school. I was doing some research on race and how it is related to college admissions, and I was curious what schools would I have a better chance applying, and getting into.

I have heard others claim that asians have a much more competitive pool considering there assumed high test scores and GPAs, as well as their accomplishments on “piano” or some other stereotype. However, I am very different from the typical asian. Both my parents only have a high school diploma, I am captain of the football team, ASB Vice-President, Fundraised with a friend over $32,000 for a project - where we were publicized on NBC Bay Area News Proud, and currently interning for the Federal Government. Taking into consideration of the “typical” asian stereotypes and accomplishments, would my chances in an asian pool be greater? Or would just marking white for my race be more beneficial. I am planning on applying to schools like Vanderbilt, U of Washington, USC, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Yale, Dartmouth, Tufts, UCLA.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should mark for my race; as well as, considering my school’s demographics (75% asian) what are my chances with these schools?

Thank you

All UCs and California publics do not have affirmative action, so it doesn’t matter what color of the rainbow you are.

Regarding the whole “Asian” controversy, I would just put “two or more races” a feature often put on college apps for race determination. It’s the truth.
