I bought an xx-large polo from A&F when I wanted an x-large but they didn't have them. It is made from pique material. If I throw the polo into the washing and drying machine will it shrink some to be a better fit? The xx-large is apparently a little too big. Stupid question I know but where else would I ask. :P

100% cotton? It will shrink. Ah that learning curve just before college is steep. Dry on hot.

Okay so the shirt is not pre-shrunk so it will shrink when it goes through a cycle in the dryer right?

Wash it hot, then dry twice.

How does one dry a dry item?

Hopefully it will shrink width-wise as well as length because it's kind of wide.

Lol I have to get x-large shirts from A&F too but at every other store i'm a large.. their clothes are too small.

True.

Do Ralph Lauren Polo shirts shrink?
