Will "NP" (no pass) get me rescinded? Cal

I haven't enrolled for the course yet, but I'm afraid I might not do too well. If I choose P/NP, and end up with NP ....will Cal
rescind me?

Thanks.

I believe it depends on the class. I don’t think you can take English or Math classes as P/NP. I was told that I could take a Physical Geography class as P/NP even though it is an IGETC requirement. However, don’t take the advice of the board, call them for sure.

call to ask

I’m going to call tomorrow, but I was just wondering if it would affect me (like the 2.0 average) rule…

^^If you take a class P/NP, it does not affect your GPA in any way.

You all realize that this person is asking what would happen if s/he got a NP grade, right? As in, the equivalent to an F? Yes you will be rescinded for flopping on a class.

Look sharp, people.

Grey-It is not the equivalent to an F. If she gets a P “grade,” it is automatically assumed that he/she recived a C- or better.

Oops! Grey, you are right. Reading comprehension FAIL. Yes, Autumn. You will likely be rescinded for getting a NP “grade”. Sorry Grey.
