Will one of my recommendations being a little late hurt me?

This is regarding my application to Penn. I sent in all required recommendations by the deadline, but I logged in to common app a month later (not sure why) and saw that I forgot to send in my optional recommendation from my speech and debate coach. I clicked send for that optional recommendation and thought nothing of it. But now, I am worrying about it. The question is, will this optional recommendation being sent in Feb. 1st hurt me at all?

Let’s see… under 60 days to go.

You’re wondering if your submitted OPTIONAL (i.e. not required) rec got read.
You’re wondering if it didn’t get read, if it “hurts” you.

And you’re worried about the whole thing.

Friend: you’ve got too much time on your hands. This is the countdown to HS graduation. Haven’t you got better things to do?

Really, I’m not trying to be snarky. If you’re at all in the ballpark to be a viable Penn candidate, then you’ve got great options awaiting you in Sept. Go have fun. Stay off of CC for 2 more months. Stop worrying about nothing. Stop worrying about nothing, and on top of that, about a non-matter that YOU CAN’T AFFECT.

Go away and enjoy life.
