will private schoolers (good private schools/magnets) have more rigorous schedules?

I'm a 9th grader at a public school taking the hardest classes possible and I'd like to have a fair chance along with the private schoolers.

Gifted AP Biology (At my school it goes Gifted, IQ based program > Honors, State test based program I think > College Prep, normal program, the Gifted label for the AP classes has no effect on the class but for sorting, it does in others though)

Gifted AP World History

Gifted Accelerated Integrated Geometry (what a name)

Gifted Language Arts

Health

Spanish 2 (theres no gifted/honors/cp spanish labeling)

I say this because I went from public school to private school for 2 years (6-7 grade) and the classes weren't that hard, but when i went back (family issues) I was pretty far ahead in math, spanish, and science

Next years schedule will include AP chemistry, gifted pre calc, spanish 3, AP econ/AP gov (semester classes I think - this is how my brother did it)

Note:
I don't know if i should take a lot of APs junior years (would include AP calc, AP LA, an AP history course, AP CS, and spanish 4), or do IB deploma (apparently the IB deploma teachers won't give A's at my school on the essays no matter what you do)

I think the AP classes would be harder but the IB classes would hurt my GPA more (i'm getting my info from my friend who isn't the "hardest" studier ever though about the IB deploma)

Side Note:
During the summer what should I do for a shot at the top engineering schools (coming from GA Georgia Tech should be on lock, but I don't necessarily want to live near my parents during college)

My aunt teaches at a school that has both IB and AP. IB classes are in general tougher because at the end of the year in addition to taking a test like the AP Exam, you have a project to summit for review by the IB program. My aunt’s school had 7 kids complete the IB diploma, which is supposedly a lot since they just started IB 5 years ago or so.

So it depends on how much you want to be challenged. AP classes will be kind of challenging, but I think IB classes would be even more challenging. So just take these next two years and advice from older kids before choosing.

k, I’m still a freshmen and my school only lets you start ib junior year, so I’ll have a lot of time to choose

i’ve been researching the top schools and it seems that in most cases their admission percentage is the same as their IB admission percentages (or close, although not true for GIT which isn’t necessarily a top school but it is in the top 5 or 6 engineering schools)

I’ve heard that colleges won’t really care about whether you took AP or IB but they want your GPA/Tests to match their averages.

If I self study for an AP exam will colleges treat it the same as taking the class. Because then I could do IB junior and senior year as well as take the related AP exams
