Gas prices, general travel expenses, household budget strains ... Has your family's economic situation affected your plans to visit colleges this year?

If so, what alternative resources will you use to supplement setting foot on campuses?

I didn’t attend college after high school 40 years ago, except for a local community college, but my friends who did tell me it was fairly common to not set foot on campus until fall orientation.

With our family, we did go on a few tours, starting 16 years ago when our oldest was a junior. We were able to see a smallish Catholic university and the state flagship in our own city. Drove less than 100 miles ( in opposite directions- ) and we saw a mid size public & a liberal arts college.

Many schools have online tours, you just need to read between the lines.
Somehow, I dont think that most of the year, Carleton is 75f and sunny.
