I was accepted to Sam fox school of art and design as an ED1 applicant. I had 3.5 unweighted GPA until my senior year. However, for my first term senior year, I had one B+, 2 Bs, 3 B-s, and one A-. I was required to submit my first term grade before they made the decision which I’m assuming that they saw my first term grade. I didn’t expect myself to get in but I did eventually. And seniorities came in, and my grade somewhat dropped, not significantly. I’m expecting to have one A-, with one or two Bs, and the rest with B-. (BTW the classes that I’m taking right now are mostly APs and IBs with two courses that aren’t APs and IBs so weight gpa should be way higher than 3.0) I’m not expecting to have any Cs or C+ (maybe one C+). I heard that WASHU will send my an email regarding my grade if it’s below 3.0 UW which is likely to happen. Would WASHU rescind my application?
It is still only February! Plenty of time to get those up a little. Time to put some hard work in! Good luck!
Do you think this could make me get rescinded?
I think you will be OK- it wasn’t your grades that got you in in the 1st place (no offense).
but don’t take any chances- try to get them up a little.
lmao. non taken. I know that my grades aren’t something that got me in. Hope I’ll be fine.
I agree that they probably won’t rescind unless you get a D or F, but why risk it? WashU and the school of art are amazing!
You won’t get rescinded for A’s and B’s. A wall of C’s won’t look good, and it isn’t unheard of to start college already on academic probation (putting any scholarships you get at risk). No D’s, no F’s, no felonies - those can get your acceptance rescinded.
You won’t get rescinded. One “C” should be ok; it is still a passing grade. But you don’t want to push it too far.
