i just read through the other thread about williams and i am in a similar situation to the other kid. basically if i want to go to williams i can and although i have a good chance at that ives nothing is certain.

my concern is mainly socially. i got a small high school and have just gotten bored. the fact that williams is only 2 times larger than my high school kind of scares me because i always imagined that in college i would meet tons and tons of new people.

i guess i'm just worried that i'll get bored of the ppl at williams just like i have at my school?

Are you a recruited athlete? I can't think of any other reason you are so confident about Williams. Even with a coach's tip, there is no guarantee of admission.
I visited Williams recently with S. I didn't think the campus felt small at all, but I can understand your concern about the number of students. If you really think you want a bigger population, don't go to Williams. It is a wonderful environment, but it is isolated. I don't think there is a better academic and athletic experience available, but it is a small school. There are advantages and disadvantages to that. I assume you have visited. Did you discuss this concern with some of the current students? It is a valid concern.

I also went to a high school about 1/2 as large as Williams, but Williams feels about 10x bigger. One thing I realized is that while only a small %age of people at my HS were people that I might end up becoming friends with, nearly everyone at Williams is incredibly cool.
