Williams chances

Im a female from the midwest going into my senior year and Williams College is my number one school by far. I have loved it for years and I'd love to get opinions on my chances. Please post and I really appreciate it.

I do go to a competitive college prep school and i have a 3.6

I've done 150+ hrs of community service not including PADS
I cochaired the prom committee
Been a student council representative twice
Im in NHS and Thespian society
I worked on the lights for 2 productions and helped design the costumes for another
played varsity field hockey for 3 years
swam competitively for 5 years before hs (does that count??)
founded and chaired the NHS tutoring program
member of baking club (all the proceeds go to charity)
A president of PADS
I babysit during the school year at least 6 hrs a week
did stock market club
played 2 years of JV soccer
I sail on the weekend though not competitively
2 years of debate club
and i worked within the campus political campaign club for the '08 elections (that was the only year it happened)
I won the George Eastman young leaders award through the university of rochester
and the National Spanish Exam accolade (whatever you call it)
participated in choir for 7 years both in the concert and chamber divisions but aged out after my freshman year
it looks like a lot more than it is written down and i probably spent way to much time not on school work...glad i realized that now

i have taken the most rigorous schedule available to me (when i switched from public school I took alg I as a freshman while most of my class took geometry so i won't take calculus as a senior) with the exclusion of AP BIO and AP CHEM

On my ACT i got a 26 but my PLAN test predicted a 30 so I am most definitely retaking it hopefully without the nerves. Also while taking the science section I thought i had 3 pages not 6 left with 20 minutes to go. so we can only hope i wont do that again.

and my SAT was a 1950
600-writing
600-math
750-cr
and I'm enrolled in a class for ACT/SAT so those will likely go up plus im studying this summer

thanks for reading the long description! Im crossing my fingers :)

You have a good shot. Liberal arts colleges in my opinion aren’t too picky with SAT scores, or so they recently claim. However, I do still feel like Williams can be just as competitive as any ivy league. I am not really informed that much on liberal arts schools and what they look for in students.

Williams is extremely competitive and IMO, you will need to raise your GPA, as well as your SAT/ACT scores. You have a lot of ECs, but which have you committed to and still continue with in your HS years? Unless you have some sort of hook, I’d say look at other liberal arts schools which would be a match for you, along with Williams. Good luck to you.

The only ones i havent continued in my hs years are the ones i said i completed before high school. So swimming and choir. the rest have all been while i was in high school. OH! and i forgot to add thats my unweighted gpa for the record. i have no clue what my weighted one is.
thank you! that was actually really helpful. ill try to raise my gpa this coming year. but my sat/act scores will definitely go up.
And yes that’s sort of what i figured. I am looking at other colleges like williams (less competitive) but it is still my number one.
Could you please define hook? I know what i think of it as but I’m interested in hearing other opinions. thanks again :)

Most people mean you have a parent who graduated from Williams, are a recruited athlete, or are Hispanic or African-American.
Your activities make you sound like you are a joiner and social butterfly, which doesn’t carry much weight at the top elite schools.
Improve those scores and expand your college list and you’ll do fine.
