Hey all!
So I’m a junior in high school right now and I’m looking at colleges! Well I’ve got a good list of colleges, but one caught my eye. Williams stood out to me and I instantly wanted to visit it, and I’ve done enough research to know that this school is one of the best academically too. Well I recently visited and I loved it. The school was awesome and I really aspire to attend it, so if anybody could give me a good look at my stats and see if I fit in with the range of kids that attend there. (Other top tier colleges I’m applying to are MIT, Rice, Northwestern, and Dartmouth, obviously these are reach schools for anyone but who knows, anything can happen, other schools I’m applying to are UVA, had 3 Sisters go there so not a true legacy, Virginia Tech, George Mason, UMich Anne Arbor, and Ga Tech).
Stats:
From Fairfax Virginia at a public school
Intended major: Physics or Engineering in the sciences, either one works, I’m leaning towards physics though (Physics for Williams)
Ethnicity: Asian, Pakistani
Gender: Male
GPA:3.8 UW 4.3 W, B- freshman year due to depression from my cat dying (RIP buddy)
SAT: 1520 (780 Math, 740 Reading)
SAT Subject Tests:
Math II: 800
Chemistry: 800
Physics: 800
Extracurriculars: Marching Band 9-12 (section leader, leadership position, 11-12)
Jazz Band 10-12
District Symphonic Band 10-12 (hopefully)

Math Honor Society 11-12

Dungeons and Dragons Club 11-12 (My friend and I founded it to relax and chill with our squad)
I frequently volunteer at a Science Center who’s entire purpose is to inspire kids to pursue STEM (100+ hours, will get more during the summer, I am very passionate about this and I feel people shouldn’t be afraid of STEM cuz the difficulty. Trudge on past that, learn, and have a blast!)
Occasionally visit animal shelter to walk dogs and socialize with cats (20+ hours)
I got an internship at the science center I wolunteer at where I teach the kids fundamental rules about physics and chemistry (Super stoked bout it)
I tutor kids in my area, not in school, in math from Algebra 1-Precalculus.
And on a side note I’ve been practicing cardistry and magic in my free time (idk if this matters but just wanted to put it in every little detail)

For Recs: I got my Physics teacher who knows me well and runs the Science Olympiad club and my calc teacher who knows my wortk ethic and that I always keep up with work (Was absent for 14 days straight got hella sick) on board to write ones for me and my counselor who knows me really well, we chat in the halls. She knows me well and knows that I’m always helping others (I also don’t know if colleges care about this)
Essays: I will write them the best I can
Side note: I’ve only taken honors classes at my school and scored A’s in mostly all of them (a few A-‘s and got B- in Spanish and a B in Spanish, not very good at Spanish as I co speak another language at home). English and Urdu
