@Siyker That makes sense. Let’s hope for the 12th. Good luck with your other apps! Hopefully you won’t need them!

Last year they were released on a Thursday. I’m thinking the 11th around 6PM but this isn’t confirmed. The waiting game sucks!

So happy!!! Got in to Williams yesterday! (Not ED…)

@Shinpachi Congradulations!!!

@Shinpachi Nice! Questbridge?

Shinpachi, Congratulations!!! I am surprised that the release date for the regular decision is even earlier than ED. I applied Williams ED, and have been keeping my fingers crossed everyday…

Yes, it was questbridge! Never imagined that I would have been matched.

Congrats!

I did!!

Does anyone know the actual notification date/time as well as the number of early decision applications this year? Judging from the lack of responses on the class of 2019 thread compared to last years thread, I feel like the number of applicants have decreased (only an unsupported observation though).

@Oberyn There’s nothing official yet. Judging from previous years, I’m going with December 12th. This waiting is killing me.

@Oberyn There does seem to be a lack of responses on this thread, but i’m not sure that means there are fewer applicants. I’m a student in China and I know for sure there is a growing interest in top liberal arts schools. I was at a college fair at one of the top high schools in Beijing a while back and there was definitely a lot of interest in Williams. I applied ED and, although my chances are pretty slim, the anxiety is killing me!

I am an International Student from Singapore too. I have applied under ED and am waiting frantically for the result to be posted (well, so that I will have time to console myself if things do not work out). Hope it goes well for all of us!

I applied ED and have been extremely nervous since I pressed the submit button November 13th. My first quarter senior grades were pretty bad, (mostly B’s) so I have a feeling this could make or break the outcome. I explained in the additional information section that my lower grades were due to the fact that I was extremely focused on getting my cross country team to the new England championship meet which we haven’t qualified for since the 90’s, and we just barely missed out on last year in 2013, rather than senioritis. I feel like this won’t really help my case at all though. Hopefully the last three years of high school will matter more to them than one quarter my senior year. Best of luck to the rest of you! :-SS

I hope your commitment to cross-country team will shine in your application I am worried of mine because of my low standardize score (I tend to get nervous and not do well…) and I did not have any sports commitment during my high school years (oh, well)

@Dipterocarpus thanks, and they’ll definitely consider your application as a whole so don’t worry too much about the test scores. They’re only one part of your application.

I have read your scores in the other thread, pretty superb I must say (way beyond the norm, of course way higher than me). I believe that growing interest does not necessary mean higher application submission. I, too, am from Asia and I understand that the brand-name matters more back here.

I applied ED. I’m very anxious about results especially now that I know they may come before the 15th…

I’m applying. Good luck everyone!

I’ve been assuming results would come out on the 12th this whole time. If it turns out to really be the 15th I’m going to have a hard time waiting :/.
