I was wondering if you have to be a certain age/grade level to apply? And if you have to be invited to apply?

I want the real answer, no bs please!

I was wondering if you have to be a certain age/grade level to apply? And if you have to be invited to apply?

Same question as above poster…anyone know about invitations or if you can apply?

By invitation only to rising seniors.

i thought you have to apply to it. here’s the application:

http://admission.williams.edu/files/2010/06/Windows-on-Williams-2010-2011.pdf

I’m not sure how they are doing things now, but two years ago they only sent the invitation to apply to targeted rising seniors.

And who is it for? Can anyone who is truly interested in attending Williams apply to attend this program or is it aimed at particular prospective applicants?

It’s not invitation only, I called (connect to Admissions) and they will email you an application, the same one online.

Perhaps they’ve changed the way they’re running this or maybe the application was always available to anyone. When my daughter went she received an application to apply in the mail. The woman who ran this program has since moved into a different position at Williams so they may be making some changes.

As for what types of students they are looking for, it’s about diversity. That doesn’t mean just racial diversity, but socioeconomic, geographic etc. It wouldn’t hurt to call and ask for specifics as to who should or should not apply.

So, can anyone apply to WOW?

Call and ask! My understanding was what electronblue said.

yes, i think anyone can apply for WOW. they used to invite applicants, but they made it more widespread now.

So, if one is accepted to WOW, does it give one a better chance of acceptance?

Do you think it would help to send in extra information, like extracurriculars or even AP scores?

Anyone in and attending?

I’ve gotten in and I’m attending! I’ve chosen the second session: Oct 21st-23rd. Anyone else?

I’m going to the first session Sept. 30th-Oct. 2nd. I’m pretty excited for this great opportunity to learn more about Williams! :)

@Nchedo11: I’ll be at second session too SUPER EXCITED

You have already received confirmation of acceptance into the program? I have not been informed of my rejection or acceptance as of now. I suppose I must be patient.

I wonder when they’ll be sending us the information…I’d like to know what we’re actually going to do there haha :D

@ DJAmazon: That’s so cool! I’m super excited and really thankful to have this opportunity. Where are you coming from? Is Williams one of your top schools?
