So I was just accepted as a transfer student to Boston University and I am aware that we are required to attend winter orientation. The problem is I will be out of the country in Australia as my family planned a vacation based on my previous college schedule. Does anyone think it’s possible for me to not attend orientation? I will be back just in time for the start of the semester. Any advice on this would help thanks.
You should really email/call BU about this Monday morning.
Orientation in the summer is usually when you learn where everything is, resources, meet with advisors to talk about degree requirements, and register for classes. If winter is the same as summer, it is important, and as a spring admit you would also be expected to move into your dorm at this time (assuming you will be living on campus). I would call.
