winter/spring classes advice

I'm not doing too well in math 51 and chem 31x right now...I'm getting a B in math and in chem I getting c's on the test. I'm thinking about taking easier classes/taking a break from chem winter quarter so I could learn how to study. Right now I'm thinking

Winter
-Physics 41 (I'm much more of a physics person)
-PWR
-IHUM
-Stats 60

Spring
-Math 52
-Chem 33
-Physics 43
-Math 53

Would the spring schedule be too hard? I've heard that 52 is pretty hard and I don't want to take it winter since the curve would be harsher (b/c of engineers?). I'm premed and I'm already screwed b/c of 31x so I don't want anymore scr ew ups (hopefully). Any suggestions will be appreciated...thx! (ie could I drop chem without it showing up on my transcript haha)

That might not be an easier schedule. PWR 1 can be a lot of work, although how much work depends on your prof. The quarter I had IHUM, PWR, math and physics (although Math 52 and Physics 63 ad 64) was rather intense. I'm not sure that's much lighter of a schedule really.

Given that you are taking Math 52 off track, I'm going to guess that you don't consider yourself to be especially strong in math. Two math classes, physics, and chemistry might be a bit much.

When you say you are getting a B in math, do you mean a raw score of 80-90 on tests? Depending on the grade distribution, that could very well actually be some form of an A...

should I drop one of the math classes (53) during spring?...I dont know any other premed requirements that would fit in that schedule when you take away math

I guess you could switch Stats 60 and Math 53. Then both Math 52 and Math 53 would be off track. I think that might be a more reasonable schedule for each quarter.

shramelon you forget IHUM in the spring. Your winter quarter looks reasonably well but your spring quarter is awful.

how much linear algebra do you have to know for 53...i feel like i didn't totally understand it after 51

not much. I didn't really feel like I needed it much...

Why are you taking both 52 and 53?

Yeah...actually, it would help if you could tell us what your prospective major might be, cuz you really don't have to take more math beyond 51 and stats for premed...
