Hello.
This might be a ridiculous question..but..
I'm taking 1 unit guitar class rite now...but i might have to drop it cuz of work.
Do universities even care for this?

W’s mean nothing

No, I don’t think they would care. I’m sure they will place much more emphasis on if you finished required courses. If you are worried about voiding a TAG by dropping that class, I’m 98% sure it will not affect the TAG, if you had one. I had a similar situation with a 1.3 unit PE class, but had TAGs to two schools and was freaking out about this silly class voiding my TAG. I ended up calling the reps at both schools I tagged into and they said that they care more whether you finished the required courses for your major and for admissions and if you have 60 units by Spring.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll be fine if you drop it.

W’s don’t matter. GPA, course rigor, and the major/college u want to apply to will have have different guidlines. see x-college for further details but W’s in general don’t matter. if u wanna apply to a UCB/LA then maybe they might might. my counselor and im sure yours too would say similar things
