I am an engineering major and am seriously considering withdrawing from my physics course and retaking it next term. Realistically, but risky, I can get a low B to C. But if I get less than a B on either of the remaining two exams I'll probably have to retake it anyway. This term started out roughly. I know I can succeed in the class. Would a withdraw on my record affect me negatively in the future or is it better than getting a low grade?

B's are not the end of the world. Suck it up and take the class.

At my school, if you retake a class (whether you withdrew from it or got a bad grade the first time), the last grade replaces any other on the transcript. Check into your school's policies.
