Withdrawing from FSU

<p>Hi, this may be an usual question on this forum but here goes..</p>

<p>My son is currently in his freshman year at FSU but has decided that he is not going back next year as he wants to try out for the Navy Seals in a year or two and wants to dedicate that time to training. As he will complete the spring semester this year in good standing - is there anything special that he needs to do to? Who does he notify that he will not be coming back?</p>

<p>I am sure he has an adviser…that’s a starting point. If he has a faculty mentor or a favorite professor that’s another good place to begin. </p>

<p>Ultimately, he’ll need to work his way to the Dean of Basic Studies (or what they term that position today).</p>
