Woodrow Wilson - the Good, the Bad, the Ugly?

What, exactly, are the components to Woodrow Wilson’s legacy of race and discrimination?

This has been coming up for obvious reasons, recently, but, beyond a few quotes, there seems to be quite a few posters saying they aren’t much aware of what it really was. Post it here for everyone.

Folks should take care to keep their points succinct, keeping the long cut-and-pastes of internet text to a minimum; we all have the ability to read books. And, despite the political nature of Wilson, no political fertilizer. Everyone knows he was a Democrat from the South. Just the facts.

Nothing, huh?
Well, it appears that he was never a slave owner, unlike some of the Founding Fathers.
