Woods College of Advanced Studies

I wouldn’t treat Woods as a backdoor to BC. You might be better served attending a less competitive, but cheaper university or college to save money and then apply transfer later. Unlike BU CGS and Emory’s Oxford, there is no implicit promise of automatic transfer. Woods, therefore, would be too expensive to attend just for some small advantage in the admissions process.

What if I attend Boston University’s CGS and do very well for a year; and try to transfer to the College of Liberal Arts and Science at BC afterwards? Is that possible?

How will it be any different if I transferred from a community college at my place to BC instead of going into BC from its Woods College?
