This scholarship requires me to write an essay in a personal letter format that's exactly 200 words or less. But, I'm not sure if that is just the body or everything else also. What do you think? I need some insight.

Can you send their exact instructions? Maybe that would help us interpret it. I would think that opening with your name and address wouldn’t be included in the word count if it is in personal letter form.

Rules concerning the scholarship essay:
- Your original literary composition must be submitted in personal letter format.
- All submissions must be typed, double-spaced, and no longer than one page (200 words) with a minimum font size of 12 points.
- Include your name and the title of your entry at the top of your submission.

It is hard to tell from that. Is there an email address or a way to contact the scholarship? Maybe you should ask just to be sure. Good luck!
