I’m trying to refer back to binoculars (it’s always a plural noun) , should i use they or it? is it proper for me to say its lenses or their lenses?
please

I'd say they. Like with glasses, you'd say "they don't fit right", not "it".

i was thinking about that but others say "they" sound awkward and i can refer to the binoculars with "it". Here is the sentence:... Fulfilling the role of my uncle, the binoculars turned into the guiding light of my continuous journey. They have helped me find my way around the sky. Through their lenses, I observed a number of celestial events...

"They" sounds fine in that context.

thx i'm using "they"

Yes, definitely use "they." Plural words get plural pronouns.
