Do the selective colleges really care about consistency for work experience and summer school? What I’m really trying to ask is will one applicant have an advantage over another if the former participates in the same summer program ( 3 YrsHarvard Summer School)while the latter partipates in a variety of different programs. (Interlochen Music Camp 2 yrs, Math Camp 1 yr, CTD 1yr)? In general, will university summer programs carry any significant impact?

Bump!!!!!!

It all depends. Colleges don't want to see so much a "well-rounded" student, but one who pursues the things that they like to do. I suppose if you were really into a certain subject, and took classes at a place like Harvard, it could look could, but generally speaking, Harvard SSP (and many other similar programs) only offer the programs to make money and increase applicants. I'm in the same position though; looking for something to do in the summer. I think that consistency in pursuing what you like is more important than consistency in attending programs (such as Harvard SSP for three years).
