I know college is not going to be easy but I have been hearing the rep of the work at wake being very brutal. Is this true?

This gets brought up every 2 months on this board. Check throughout the Wake Forest board for more threads on this.

But to answer your question, it all depends what you’re studying and what teachers you take and how much stuff you’re doing outside of class. But, in general, Wake Forest is a tough school…is it impossible to get A’s? No, definitely not. If you work hard, you’ll probably be plenty fine.

Wake doesn’t just let you breeze through to get a degree, which is a good thing, considering how lazy America has become. I think the “Work Forest” thing is overstated a lot and ppl overreact about it, but I do know Wake is not easy when you compare it to high-level state schools. Attendance is often mandatory b/c classes are so small and you’ll often be expected to participate/do readings, which isn’t always the case in 100+ student classes at bigger schools.

Thanks for the insight! Last question. I think I want to major in biology to get into med school. How’s that major at wake? And is there grade inflation?
