<p>Most freshmen seem to list the library or post office as their preferred jobs, but hardly any freshmen get those jobs. So you’re probably better off choosing less high-demand positions as your first choice.</p>
<p>I don’t think there’s a work-study waitlist - just keep your eyes open for other opportunities. Watch the job postings, ask professors and staff if anything is available. Many times positions will become available the next term as students go off campus.</p>
<p>Yes, as soon as possible. I emailed the financial aid office with the same question, and they said that most of the jobs had already been given away, but to go ahead and fill out the work preference form anyway. I got lucky and didn’t end up in food service, but I’m not sure what they’ll have now (that was two weeks ago). Good luck!</p>
