When I got my estimated financial aid for my EA acceptance, it didn't mention at all the potential of work study. This, of course, leads me to the question: is there any such program on campus, and if so, how much, or how little does it pay?

Moreover, I really want to work for the admissions office because I come from a very poor school with very limited college options so I want to be able to attract more of those socialeconomical groups to apply. Thus, if any current students know how to work for admissions, can you guys give me some tips on how to get the job?

There is a work-study program, and many times you will see jobs or research positions offered ONLY to work-study students. If you can access it, studentemployment.uchicago.edu is the place to go. Pay rate depends on the individual job.

You could try straight-up asking the admissions office for a job, and volunteer a resume. From time to time I've seen jobs offered on the student employment listing as well. You can also get involved with PSAC, which is not quite admissions, but very close as you would be involved with the programs for prospective students.
