working internationally

I'm probably going to major in ChemE. or BioE. (and probably do grad work) but i'm really interested in working overseas....is this a hopeless dream in that most countries dont recruit outside themselves or are there enough big international companies in Bio or Chem i could have good job prospects?

I've got a chemE friend who, if it weren't for the fact that the project negotiations fell through, would be working in England right now. So, it's not a hopeless dream. Larger companies frequently will send employees overseas to work on various projects, just make it a priority to ask about overseas opportunities when you interview.
