Working part-time as a mudd student?

Is it typical for a student at mudd to work part time?
If so, how many hours weekly?
And what is their approximate annual income (after taxes)?

Probably 35% of the school has some type of Mudd-related part-time job.

During the year: 6-8 hours per week seems typical. This may amount to ~$2200 a year.
Summer research is 40 hours per week for 10 weeks. Amounts to $5000 per summer.

After taxes, don't know.

My daughter (a sophomore) has worked for Mudd since her second semester as a grader and tutor for courses in her major. I think she gets paid something between $8 and $9 per hour, and I think she works around 6-8 hours a week (like Rocket said). She doesn't seem to have any problem fitting this in, and she enjoys the work. In the fall semester this year, she really didn't seem to dig into savings from her summer earnings because the grutoring provides her with more than enough spending money.
Last summer she came home and worked as a computer programming instructor at a local summer camp. She lived at home (no expenses other than bus fare) and earned about $3000.

Many Mudd students have a part-time job. I work 5 hours a week at my on-campus job ($8.50/hr) and about 12 hours a week during crunch time for my consulting job ($15/hr). I hadn't had an on-campus job before this year, but I've found it isn't too hard to transition to having less free time. Also, I've definitely been bringing in more money than I've been spending this year.

Most of the jobs at Mudd are pretty lax and have a lot of time where you can do homework.
