Schools: Wake Forest, UNC, Georgetown, Emory, University of Pennsylvania, Duke, Elon, U of I, University of Chicago

Also, I am interested in medicine and becoming a doctor. If anyone has input for suggested schools, extracurriculars, etc. that I should plan on in college to be accepted into medical school that would be appreciated! Thanks!

G-town, Penn, and Duke are reaches. Everything else is slight reach to match.

I would say right now the thing hurting you most is your SAT score. It's really not too bad, but for those schools I would try aiming for over a 2100. Also, are you going to take the SAT subject tests? Those are pretty important, especially for the schools you listed.

I am taking 14 hours of private tutoring to raise my SAT score because I know it's not as high as it should be. I forgot to mention I am also taking the SAT subject tests, but not until September. Does this look bad?

Thanks so much for the input.

Chances are good at:
Wake Forest
UNC-Chapel Hill
Emory
Duke (if NC resident, since they have an in-state target)
Elon
UIllinois-Urbana Champaign
University of Chicago.

Chances are so-so at:
UPennsylvania
Georgetown
