<p>It seems that all of the recommendation letters I'll be getting -- from my counselor, both my teachers, and my outside source -- are going to be focused on the same topic: my extracurricular involvement. They'll all be talking about how I'm going to change the world someday, how I've been extensively involved with fighting global poverty, etc. </p>
<p>Is this actually good? Cuz I'll have all these activities in my brag sheet already, but I think that the letters will put more personal light on these activities. But I'm concerned that adcoms will find the rec letters repetitive...</p>
<p>Or will this common theme in my rec letters serve as an advantage, giving me a clear "identity" or "image" in the eyes of adcoms?</p>
