Worst grade you got on a test?

^Is an A- a 4.0 at your school?

I wish it was for mine. :(

^^^Don’t sweat it. I didn’t learn how the hemisphere system worked until 9th grade.

Geography insn’t my strong point.

^^Nah, idk what it is, maybe 3.7 or something? A/A- was first semester/second semester.

My 6th grade math teacher gave us “timed quizzes”, where we had about 5-10sec for each problem. He told us how much each problem was worth, and it came to more than 100 points, so I asked if we could get above 100… “Oh no, you can’t get above 100. But you can get below 0.” Negative grades ensued for several people. I can’t remember my grades, but I bombed one of them, managing to stay in the positives, though. Otherwise, he was a good teacher and got promoted the next year to head of the department for math.

I don’t remember my lowest test score, but I got a 72 on an International Relations test recently. Going over the wrong answers, I got half of them right at first then changed my answers. I’m going to get an A in the class, though. Plus, with my extra-credit paper, that can become a 92. I just have to not bomb the other tests.

i got a 20 on a states quiz…

I got a 50 on a states quiz… Oh wait, it was out of 50. :D

■■■■… :D

Failed a few AP Physics tests last year yet still got a 4 on the AP test…have no idea how that worked out. Guess I had some not so hot English quizzes back in the day too, as in D range, but that was 9th grade lol.

^AP Physics B or C?

I got a 22.5/50 on an assignment for French. Of course, the French teacher was a notorious liar and said he wouldn’t grade it. That’s why I severely dislike him and he’s one of the few teachers I will never trust.
On APs…APUSH. I got a 59% on one test, but eventually got a 5 on the real thing.

I got 13 AP hum geo first quiz, hahahahah though I don’t care, I have A now. You don’t have to take too seriously on each quiz. :)

Wow, some people here are hardcore geniuses.

I got a D on a major essay last year - I lost 100 to about 150 points because:

My teacher said that all of the notes, outlines, an official works cited, and the essay had to be put into a folder. I put the works cited right behind the essay and did not staple it. Since I did not staple it, according to the teacher, I apparently did not have a works cited at all and lost all of those points.

I ended up with a B- in the class. It was kind of funny that I got a higher grade in AP Chemistry than English, especially since English is my favorite subject and I love writing.

Our teachers give a minimum of C for essays as long as you try.

I think I’ve gotten D’s before but this year I got an unwelcome 75% C in my AP Economics class. Also a C on a French quiz. Not really starting my junior year very well.

Our school emphasizes “You turn in homework, you’ll do well” type mentality.

So screwing up on tests isn’t that big of a deal.

All the 10H Engish classes had to take a spelling test because no one could spell anything on the midterm. This is why God gave us spellcheck.

^That’s pretty sad. Spelling is a skill that should be highly valued; I’m glad that the teacher gave a spelling test. It hurts my eyes whenever someone misspells common words such as “there,” “they’re,” and “their.”

^ I’m SO glad to know I’m not the only one who’s really bothered by that!

^ Agreed! I also die a little inside when I see my friends make the “your”/ “you’re” mistake.

EDIT: Oops, forgot to post my worst grade. The most recent one was an %72 on an honors bio test. It brought me down from a 99% to a 92% ):
