Has this happened to anyone? If so, what was the experience like?

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten below a 50 on a test - at least not that I can recall. I’ve bombed quizzes, like really, really bombed - I got a 20 on a Latin quiz once because I had been absent the day before when we learned the material so I was quizzed on something I knew nothing about. It was 10 multiple choice and I guessed on every single one… LOL.

I didn’t really react to it, I was anticipating it, plus, at the time, I had like a 115 in the class so the 20 only brought it down to like a 104 or something, idk.

I also bombed a Chemistry quiz - I got a 0. It was two conversion questions, I got both wrong. I did corrections for it and got 30 points back so I ended up with a 30 - that effected my grade minimally as well.

I ask this because I got a 47 on my 1st Algebra 2 exam, and a 48 on my first Physics exam

They were annulled later though because I did better on future tests which covered them up

If its any consolation, at my school, of the 70 seniors enrolled in AP Physics, about 12 have a C or better right now.

Isn’t a C like a 70?

Well, this was regular Physics and I had a 50 average for a good amount of time before the second test.

For all assignments (tests, quizzes, HW) I’ve only gotten like 1 or 2 C’s in my life, I get B’s occasionally, but it’s mostly A’s.

Swag.

I got a 0% on my first AP Physics quiz. And I don’t think my first test in there will be too pretty (and I’ll see it posted online tomorrow… Not looking forward to this!).

I’m pretty sure I got like a 20% on my Algebra II final. That’s just speculation though, it was never graded. I had a “no final” pass but the teacher made me take it anyways so he could see how I would have done. But I was getting absolutely nothing from the homework and literally guessed on every question on the final.

In elementary school, oh yeah. I was terrible at math and science back then and would bomb tests with 20s & 30s.
Now, in high school…I haven’t. Quizzes, yes. The lowest I’ve received on a test was a 65. Hey, at least I passed lol.

One time, I got an 8/16 on a AP Bio quiz.

I didn’t find out until he entered in a test grade. I got a 95% on that test, but my grade barely went up. I found out the next day why when he handed it back.

To be fair, the entire class bombed that quiz.

My first physics exam at MIT was a 36%…the class average was around 55%.

I failed a bunch of word processing tests freshman year. It wasn’t all that significant because I still ended up with an A.

I got an 11 on a Algebra I test. I somehow managed to fall asleep during the test. Ugh.
Oh freshman year.

Calc 3 in college:
Exam 1: 100%
Exam 2: 104%
Exam 3: 68%. I still did signiticantly better than the class average of 55%, but I had never gotten a grade that low on a test, especially one that counted for 20% of my grade. I have never studied so hard for a final exam as the one after that test…

Well, I technically failed my first BC Calc test but my teacher curved it so I got a C…there was one (curved) A- in the class from someone who took AB last year, one B+ (also someone from AB), a B- (the third person from AB), and all us precalc honors kids got C’s and a few unfortunates got D’s and F’s. Needless to say there’s a retake…
