I had 4.87/3.93 walking into senior year.
So far in high school, I got 3 B’s in total (2 from APUSH, 1 from English 3 Honors)
This semester only, I got 3 B’s (AP Calc BC, AP Physics C, AP US Govt). I didn’t slack off, it was just difficult material + college apps (Got A’s in AP MicroEcon, AP Lang, Chinese 4). Using high school GPA calculators available online, I estimate that my GPA’s gonna drop to around 4.5 weighted. Will this greatly affect my chances of getting into top tier schools?
Strong extracurricular activities
SAT: 2230 (650 800 780)
ACT: 34 (34 35 32 35)

Some schools that I’ve applied to: Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, UPenn, Cornell, CMU, USC, WUSTL, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD
the title is kinda misleading, makes it sound like you have a GPA of 0.4 W which is basically all Fs. besides that you seem like itll be fine as long as you understand those are reaches
Yeah title makes it seems like your GPA is really bad. It will not be as good to have those extra .4 in your weighted GPA, but it won’t really lower chances significantly. You would have a better chance if your GPA didn’t drop, but your course rigor is difficult and your GPA is still good regardless of a few B’s. Ivies are reaches for students even with perfect stats, so if you know that at least you should be okay. Good luck!
Thanks everyone for your response! I now realize that the title may be misleading… I would like to change it to avoid confusion but unfortunately don’t know how to do so
