Would an MBA be worth it for this science ugrad?

If anyone could give their thoughts on whether or not an MBA would be worth the cost for my future goals and stats I'd really appreciate it!

Stats:
Cornell (B.S.) - 3.37 Undergrad GPA
2 Years Work Experience as a Commodities Analyst Intern for a popular consultant
2-3 Years Work Experience at Bulge Bracket Investment Bank (Capital Markets - S&T)
Anticipated GMAT Score 700-730
First Generation/Hispanic, Trilingual (English, Portuguese, Spanish)

Goals:
I would like to spend some time in either commodities or a HF. I have studied a niche subject and plan to bring that educational background to use in this new position.

Towards the latter half of my career I would like to be in academia - whether that would involve teaching or advising students at an undergrad/MBA program.

I would ideally like to get the MBA from one of the following:
Columbia, NYU, Chicago, Yale, Harvard, MIT, Wharton, Cornell

Obviously some of those are reaches, but I'd like to hear any thoughts or tips as to whether or not it makes sense to pursue the degree and if admissions at any of the above would be probable.

Many thanks in advance.

What year in HS are you in?

Cbreeze - your petty attempt at being witty is not appreciated. Didn’t your mother ever teach you, ‘if you don’t have anything nice to say - don’t say anything at all’ ?

I guess that doesn’t apply to a Penn alum who has nothing better to do than lure around a college admissions forum for 6.5 years.

If your stated experience is true, why would you need to ask your question here?
You were an INTERN for 2 years??
Then you worked front office 2-3 years at a BB Investment Bank…wouldn’t you know by now? Don’t you have mentors and colleagues you can ask?
Your story doesn’t pass the smell test.
BTW, I did not graduate 6.5 years ago. If your story is true, you also graduated 5 years go.
