Would anyone like to give me an idea of my chances?

I'm a rising senior and I'd like to get an idea of some of my chances.

GPA: 3.8-3.9 I'd assume at a competitive public school(have to be accepted into it, about 60-70 a year, and as such my classes aren't ranked save AP(i.e. no honors, or anything of that nature)

Classes:

Freshman year-
English I
Geometry
World history
Latin II
Biology
Introduction to Engineering
Computer Applications
And two classes in research/data

Sophomore Year:
English II
US History I
Latin III
Algebra II
US History I
Principles of Engineering
Computer Integrated Manufacturing
Physics
Continuation of the classes in research/data(I'm afraid because I got a C in them.)

Junior Year:
English III
US History II
Precalculus
Latin IV
C++ programing
Chemistry

Senior Year:
English IV
Calc BC
AP physics
Current Global Issues
Latin(AP but without the name :( )
Java

EC's:
Boy Scouts- Six years
-Brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow
-Ceremonies Team in same organization
-Hopefully I should be Eagle by next winter :)
-Senior Patrol Leader/OA representative
Three years model UN
Peer Mediator

A few acting/improv class things during the summer or some other times

A speech class at the community college, thinking of taking a human geography/philosophy class next year.

Awards:
Some scouting awards
Four National Latin Exam Golds

SAT:

Reading- 760
Math-700
Writing-730
Total- 2190

(Should I try to take the math grade up?)

Don't have ACT/SAT II scores

Colleges I was looking at:

Brown
University of Chicago
Carleton
Amherst
College of New Jersey
Swarthmore
Columbia
Georgetown
American
NYU
and for the heck of it, MIT

First, for most of the colleges on your list, you need SAT II scores, so be sure to take them. Chances-wise, you have the GPA and SATs you need for most of the schools on your list. Also, the boy scouts looks very good to colleges these-days, so that's definitely a got EC to have. For MIT, the math score needs to be brought up; however, so if you're seriously considering the school, I recommend you work on your math score.

Chances on a scale of: high reach, reach, semi-reach, good fit, likely, safety.

Brown University... REACH.
University of Chicago... SEMI-REACH.
Carleton College... GOOD FIT.
Amherst College... SEMI-REACH.
College of New Jersey... LIKELY.
Swarthmore College... SEMI-REACH.
Columbia University... REACH.
Georgetown University... SEMI-REACH.
American University... SAFETY.
New York University... LIKELY.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology... HIGH REACH.

Thank you. I'm not really looking at MIT seriously, as I don't know how much I'd like it anyway. I'm much more interested in U Chicago.

However, I've taken the SAT II's, just need to get my scores in a few days.

Brown REACH
University of Chicago REACH --depends on essays [not too high of a reach]
Carleton HIGH MATCH
Amherst REACH
College of New Jersey SAFETY
Swarthmore REACH
Columbia HIGH REACH
Georgetown LOW REACH
American LOW MATCH
NYU LOW MATCH
MIT HIGH REACH

One aspect of your app. that could use improvement: EC's & Awards.
To be competitive for MIT, you need a higher MATH score for sure. Re-take if you want to go there. For the other schools, it's "okay" I suppose.

I got into Columbia with exactly the same math score.

That's good to hear. Thanks everyone.

With no rank and SAT sores low for ivies, I really can't understand why anyone would claim grades and scores were OK. If ses got into Columbia with a 700 math SAT, he was unusual if he is not hooked.

My turn! hehe

Well, I'm gonna be a junior in August. I so far have a very crappy SAT score. I have ~1550. I am the top 5 in all of my classes. Freshmen and sophomore year, I had a 4.0 GPA, weighted it should be ~4.17. I have 5 clubs that I am in and I am an officer in one of them.

What do you think my chances are to get a 2000 my the 2008 March test date? What should I do?

Also what are my chances getting into:
University of Southern California
University of California- Berkeley
University of Michigan- Ann Arbor
New York University
Farfetch: University of Pennsylvania

Extracurricular activities sophomore year: (All I am planning to continue till graduation)
Operation Smile
Honor Society
American Cancer Society (officer next year)
Key Club
Kids to Kids

Community Service:
So far I have >100 hours just in sophomore year, and I am planning on doing >250 hours by the end of junior year.

Class took and planning on taking:

Chinese 3 Honors
