<p>Pathetic- The student contribution you are being asked to provide is not too taxing for a Div. 3 varsity athlete. D manages a varsity sport plus a job 3-4 hours/week. She easily earns over 3 K in the summer. I would not ask for that to be changed as it’s a very reasonable and standard student contribution that is being asked.</p>
<p>Just for some clarification I am a girl 
and my father is not a “crook”. I stated that I didn’t think that his overseas business was reported in his taxes because he had just started up this business (around late January early February of this year). I use the term “business” loosely as it isn’t an occupation that is garnering anywhere near enough to drastically change my EFC. His trips to Africa are more geared towards family ties than business ones. He really isn’t exactly making “big bucks”. </p>
<p>I am humbled by the generous aid that I have received and I would never be ungrateful for it. Like I said earlier, I won’t be asking for more aid, not because of the overwhelming disapproval of that idea by a portion of the CC community, but because I have found other methods of attaining the remaining costs of college.</p>
<p>Just in case anyone else is wondering, I’ll ask. How much is airfare to Africa?</p>
