Would Biochemistry be a good pre-medical studies major?

I talked with my teacher about being a doctor and she said that Biochemistry has all the information on biology and chemistry. So I was wondering if Biochemistry is a good major for premedical studies and does it cover most of the stuff in the MCAT test?

Biochemistry includes the pre-med courses, but the pre-med courses can be taken alongside any major (including history, math, statistics, economics, literature, etc.).

Yes it is. I am also planning on becoming an Biochem major. Go to my threads that I have started and I have asked this question many times. More people have replied than this thread so go check it out. It will help you out. It is a fairly difficult major and if you have no interest in Chemistry or Biology, your life will be hell for 4 year. Also, keep an open mind, you can do any major and add on pre-med requirments that will be beneficial and required for the MCAT. I like Biochem cause its learning the chemistry in Biology. Think about it and hopefully you still have a lot of time to ponder and make the best decision for you:)
