<p>I know that admissions officers are more lenient with URM's and such...but are they the same with the region you come from? Say would a someone from MO have more of a chance than someone from let's say CA? This is assuming they have similar stats and such. Just wondering!</p>
<p>No one will ever be able to definitively answer your question. So my advice is to not worry about what you don’t have control over. Focus on the stuff you can control and that definitely matter to colleges, like your grades, extracurriculars, test scores, etc. No matter where you live, if you don’t have the credentials, you won’t be accepted.</p>
