Georgia Tech is one of my top choices and my GPA is a 3.55 w/ a 2330 SAT. My AP AB Calculus grade first two quarters was an A-. I was doing okay third quarter too until i completely bombed a quiz today (I think i will receive a 10/30) because I had an all nighter the previous night. Now the math grade is somewhere between D and C+ depending on how badly i actually did on that math quiz. Worst comes to worst, if I get a D one quarter, will that impact my admissions chances? My final grade would be a B even if i get a D this quarter. Furthermore, all other grades have gone up this quarter, so will they rescind me if I get in?

Thanks :(

They probably won’t rescind your offer because of one D, one quarter. So long as you finish with a decent overall grade, I’m thinking B or better, you will be fine. Just finish the rest of your senior year strong in all of your other classes as well.

OP- I don’t think anyone who was recinded would be on this forum. If you really get a D and are worried about it you could always call and ask. I would think that if you got a D for the whole semester then you may be in trouble. However if you get a B for the semester then it would be fine. I’ve seen posts where kids are worried about 1 C for the semester and posters seem to think they would be ok. But again the only ones who can really tell you are admissions.
