Would it be better to transfer to liberal arts college for better/inflated grades?

At this rate, I don't know where I'm going to get. As much as I love Berkeley, idk if a 2.5 or higher will help me get the jobs I want. Perhaps a smaller school would be different? Grade inflated? like Columbia or Princeton

Yes, I am 100% sure C work at Berkeley will be A work at Columbia.

It sucks getting bad grades, but you’ll get over it. If you let a couple exams determine your future then you are going about life the wrong way, man.

lol you’re cluess/daynight aren’t you?

In the first place, no highly selective college will accept a transfer without a A- average. So, you have no shot at transferring to the Ivy League. (P’ton doesn’t accept transfers anyway.) Secondly, Cal’s mean gpa is not a whole lot lower than that of some colleges known for grade inflation. A’s and B’s are plentiful at Cal in the humanities and social sciences.

Took the words right out of my mouth. And LOL at the idea that Columbia or Princeton would give you better grades.

Princeton and Columbia won’t be any easier . . . the average GPA might be higher but the average kid is also smarter. If you’re struggling to get a 2.5 here . . . even if you do miraculously transfer into a decent small private school, don’t expect any good grades.

this maybe applies more to pre-med majors, but on Berkeley ■■■, someone w/a 3.6 in MCB was complaining about how grade deflation did not work out for this person after having been rejected from all the med schools this person applied to

Great. Thanks guys! No I’m not daynight, and I don’t think I’ve seen cluess post before. I saw daynight’s post and messaged them once. We have our similarities ; ] I guess you could say lol but then I have this similarity with a lot of people. Okay, I guess I’ll stay here then lol

i’m clueless snow they figured out i was daynnight. it’s nice to know someone else is clueless : O

Great . . now we got two bumbling clueless airheads . . .

How’s that irl emotional support and overall getting **** together coming along for you, clueless?

I don’t think transferring would help. I think that practicing better studying practices can help. Try getting into study groups, try taking notes on the chapters you’re covering in class before lecture, try doing assignments earlier.

I’m not sure that will help you, but I know that I would’ve had straight A’s had I done that, and that is what I intend to do next semester.

rofl it’s coming along great. gettin some A’s here and there.

lol I will need a lot of proof to believe that you are not all the same person. Probably wouldn’t believe it even then.

This reminds of this this guy who tried to convince me that he had a girlfriend by IMing me as “Desigirl87” or something. He even typed out a conversation with her so he could show me the chat archive. After I pointed out that the two ‘people’ always signed on and off at the same time, he made a 3rd account thinking that would prove something? And then he made a fake facebook profile and sent me a message from it and didn’t think I would be able to click on the profile and see that the one profile picture there had been uploaded 22 minutes ago. Yup, fun times :)

Actually, Berkeley’s not that hard of a school for most humanities/social sciences (except econ of course) for undergrad.

I’m sure most of the ivy league/stanford/UChic, ect, would have harder classes in political science, history, ect…

Berkeley’s undergrad strength is mostly its sciences.

Though for grad school, I’m sure Berekley is excruciatingly hard for all subjects.

Princeton is definitely not easier… They have a STRICT grade deflation policy - all of their classes are curved to a certain number of As and Bs no matter what.

wow that’s intense flutter! I would never go THAT far lol too clueless…?

Well, more like each department can only have a certain percentage of As and Bs, but within that department some classes could be graded more generously and some more harshly. But it’s a moot point, because even if Princeton accepted transfers, daynnight wouldn’t be getting in.
