Would quitting ice hockey severely impact my chances of getting into a good school?

For the record, ice hockey is not the only sport I play/have played in high school; I'm a junior, and this is my second year playing tennis.

Club hockey is making me miserable to the point where I am becoming depressed and anxious, and it would be infinitely better for my own mental condition. I'm concerned, though, that colleges will look down on me if I played a school sport for five years (seventh through eleventh grade) only to quit before my senior year.

I badly need advice.

You MUST continue playing ice hockey. As soon as colleges see you aren’t committed to something that is making you miserable, it’ll send up a red flag. They may even conspire with the National HS Hockey Association to blacklist you.

if you quit ice hockey you aren’t going to college

Agreed with above trolls. Don’t sweat it. Do what’s best for your mental condition and quit.

^ don’t listen to that asian

I heard that one kid from my school quit ice hockey his sophomore year in high school. No one has heard from him since. Rumor has it that the very day he sent an email to his coach notifying him that he quit the Canadian Intelligence Agency (CIA) showed up at his front door. As the legend goes, they sent him to the part of Canada where only the eskimos live to harvest maple syrup. If you fancy working 15 hour days getting syrup out of maple trees in sub zero temperatures, sure, quit ice hockey.
