would submitting an arts supplement increase my chances for stanford?

ok. so....this is sort of confusing, but please bear with me. I applied stanford SCEA....but I've been thinking about calling them to change it to RD. BECAUSE-I do indian dance(bharatanatyam) that I've been doing since middle school. Bharatanatyam is something I spend a lot of time with and I think it's sort of unique( of course a lot of people do it but not that many). Also, I am good dance(not to be arrogant). HOWEVER, I have really not participated in any dance programs because I chose not to (b/c I thought dance was something i did really for myself) and so I didn't submit an arts supplement for early...but now I'm thinking i should?

so. do you think changing my plan to regular and submitting an arts supplement would help me? because dance is something I've done for a very long time...and i don't suck at it, even though i didn't preform. sorry. I think i could have done a better job explaining.

my english teacher says my essays for stanford are strong( she's tough to please)

Thanks guys!!

i used to think I was a good student

then I read this topic

can’t you still send that supplement? it’s only Nov.1 and it takes approximately two weeks for them to recieve all the materials from applicants so if you send it overnight, they can’t tell if you send it later than deadline. besides, they spend an additional week to sort those materials and put them into folders or something so, that gives you even more time. to be polite, maybe call them that you’ve missed something important and send it immediately?
but it really doesn’t make much difference if you change it to regular since Stanford’s notorious for their EA acceptance rate…

no.you had to submit the apply by oct 15th if you were submitting an arts supplement for early. for regular it’s by dec. 1st

but besides that? do you think my chances would change scea vs rd with arts suplement?

I think you would stand out more if you wait until RD and do the arts supplement. Standing out is definitely a plus. Even though acceptance rates are higher in SCEA, you’d pretty much blend in the crowd. You have an outstanding transcript, though, so it’s your call. Good luck!
