<p>Bad way to try to attract prospective students...someone should tell them that...or not and just watch as they keep sending out more...</p>
<p>i thought the e-mail was kind of funny, and either way, if you decide not to apply to Reed (or any school really) based on this or something like it, you are doing yourself a disservice. You shouldn't judge a school by its administation, esp. not its admin's attempts at humor.
Also recognize that to kids who get 10 letters a day from various schools, the colleges want to do something to make students remember them. Obviously it worked - look how many people remember & are talking about this e-mail.</p>
