Since there is a great discussion about comparing campuses, why not compare food?
To answer, choose one of the two schools listed and a quick statement why. Then, ask two other schools to compare.
I'll start.

Exeter or Andover?

Exeter or Andover?

This one will be difficult because most of us have not eaten at most of these schools. I, for example, have never eaten at Andover.

Exeter because 1. I’ve eaten there and 2. THINGS ARE LABELED AS VEGAN.

If you’ve never eaten there, rate the facility or culture (ie sit-down) or whatever.

Groton or NMH?

ive eaten at Andover and it is delicious and I think it has options for everyone. Plus their dining hall is amazing

I’ll answer my own… NHM because they have more (vegan) options. As someone posted before, Groton is like “this is what our family is having, if you don’t like it you can have a bagel.”

Not that their family isn’t having delicious food, or anything…

@stargirl: You should post another question, but hopefully this time you won’t have to answer your own! :P

Oh yeah, question! Andover or Exeter?

Wait, no, that was the original. Hotchkiss or NMH?

I will answer this from a total dining experience because, really, there is only so much one can say about institutional food. I am not sure if this is deliberate, but knowing @stargirl3, it probably is. This is the Sophie’s Choice of boarding school dining. Both schools are farm-to-table. Both schools procure a good portion of what they do not grow/raise from local merchants. Both schools have food options outside of normal serving times. Both schools tout sustainability/improving the environment. Neither has sit-down meals (not saying sit-down meals are good or bad). Both are casual dress for dinner, although Hotchkiss is class dress for breakfast and lunch. Hotchkiss has a Favorites from Home program, where you can submit your grandmother’s secret recipe, and if it’s appealing enough and can be replicated for however many meals they serve, it gets added to the menu. NMH may have something similar; I don’t know. So, I’ll go with:

Hotchkiss

SPS or Exeter?

@skieurope It was intentional. You know me well. :p

Exeter, even though I’ve never been to SPS so this isn’t really fair. As I mentioned before, everything is labeled as far as dietary restrictions. They have flat-screen TVs with the menu and the building I went to (Elm St, I think. Not the main one) is gorgeous. Plus, they’re renovating.

SPS or Groton?
