Would you sign the petition to keep paris hilton out of jail?

Have you guys read the petition? It is seriously the stupidest piece of text I've ever read. I think I lost brain cells while reading it.

"She provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world. She provides beauty and excitement to (most of) our otherwise mundane lives."

"We, the American public who support Paris, are shocked, dismayed and appalled by how Paris has been the person to be used as an example that Drunk Driving is wrong. We do not support drunk driving or DUI charges. Paris should have been sober. But she shouldn't go to jail, either."

"Brandy's California Highway accident, although no proof of DUI was evidenced in her accident, resulting in the death of a young wife and mother in California, yet Brandy walks free as of today, never doing any time and A WOMAN HAS BEEN KILLED most likely due to her reckless driving!

Yet, Paris Hilton did not hurt, injure, or kill anyone or anything, and yet she must do jail time."

"She didn't hurt or kill anyone, and she has learned her lesson. "

"If the late Former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late Former President Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well," (Totally lost all brain cells right here)

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/PH21781/

Oh. My. God. That petition was horrible. "We do not support drunk driving or DUI charges" oh man, I think they need to rephrase that. What horrible logic, using examples of other celebrities like that. And what the hell is up with them comparing Ford's pardon of Nixon to this? That was a RADICALLY different situation. Seeing 25,000 people sign that thing makes me lose faith in the human race. I'm starting my own universe.

Will a petition really do anything?

Hecks no. Never ever ever ever.

She was on probation and violated it... seems to me like she had a chance already.

45 days isn't that bad... and chances are she will only serve around half that. If Martha Stuart could do it, so can Paris Hilton.

Yes, I will sign the petition because Paris Hilton "...provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world, and provides beauty and excitement to otherwise mundane lives".

Yeah right. That has got to be the lamest excuse I've ever heard.

I wouldn't sign the petition, but I don't think she should have been sentenced to jail time and it's not because I like her (I don't).

Jail is meant for dangerous people who are a threat to the community. Paris Hilton is a threat because she has no respect for the law or anyone, for that matter, but I think that she should have been put under house arrest. The problem with that, though, is that her house is probably like amazing and huge and stuff, and that kind of defeats the purpose. It's just- she's going to go out once a day for an hour, and then she's going to spend the rest of her time in a cell. That's not a typical prison experience and it is kind of unfair.

However, now that she has been sentenced, I think that she should definitely serve it because she really isn't above anyone else (despite what she may think) and she shouldn't be allowed to get out of it. That wouldn't be fair.

at least her "ordeal" has taken the spotlight from the infamous Anna Nichole Smith media obsession!

haha yeah .

that and Don Imus, but after he got fired, the headlines vanished...

No. 10 char.
