Wow! FSU has its own circus!

lol I didnt know till like a few min. ago.

Yep, I believe it's the only one too.

The FSU circus is a student organization. It's on the same category as the surfing club, rock climbing club, or skydiving club. It is not a major so you can't get degree on "circus". I think there is an elective class on trapeze, for one 1 credit only. It's part of the physical education curriculum. Many rivals like to tease FSU about having a circus school and students majoring on "clowning" ,but they are just greatly misinformed.

lol omg I always believed that there wasnt such thing as clown college!

Has there ever been any major injuries to students in the circus? just curious…

im taking circus class in the fall =)))

I might too, my friends are doing the actual FSU circus. I think it’d be fun, but I don’t know if its worth spending all that time to do something that’s just fun.

You can’t actually get a degree in “circus.” There is a circus class, but it is PE class. PE classes are classes like yoga, soccer, weight lifting, etc. They counts as one credit (out of 120 needed to graduate) and you can only take one. The people who perform for the public aren’t the ones taking the class though. The public performers are doing it for fun.

Also it’s not like a typical circus. There are no animals involved or anything too crazy like motorcycles in a cage. They only do acrobatics.

Really? I thought you could take more than one but they just didn’t count to the 120 requirement.

You’re right. You can take it as many times as you want, but it won’t count as credit.
