<p>i think colleges hav something against people being too perfect... no joke... they really like flavor.. our valedictorian had the most perfect resume possible and got rejected from all the ivies she applied to but cornell... but #4 or 5, who was really eccentric, got into all the ivies...</p>
<p>I find this very very shocking and apalling.</p>
<p>vicissitudes -- why? Every student has something to offer a school besides academics. And some valedictorians are just not very well-rounded -- they've put so much time and effort into being at the top of their class that they haven't had the energy to pursue interesting extracurriculars or to think outside of the box.</p>

<p>Yeah, I'm nowhere near being valedictorian...and my SATs weren't the highest in our school either.</p>
<p>dont think that being a valedictorian is a bad thing tho... they have like a 45% acceptance rate at ivies, salutatorians are like 30%, and it goes down from there..</p>
