<p>I can’t tell why both c and d aren’t correct BTW it’s from Barron How to prepare… test #2 section 10</p>

<p>For the first: The former is the antecedent of of the verb in question, not movies.</p>

<p>For the second: Try reading the sentence out loud without a comma before however. It doesn't work.</p>
