Writing Seminars!

The fall 2005 writing seminars are up! Yay! Now we can start actually planning schedules and stuff (though it's not concrete by any means). Dig in, folks!

I think "Genes and Human Behavior" looks pretty cool.

Ooh, the one exploring the idea of Apocalypse(s?) sound really rad.

I really like "Human Rights and the Rule of Law" one. And the Community-Building and Social Change seminar. Good stuff. They're actually a lot better than I thought they'd be.

Damn phil, you are SO on top of things. I think it's safe to rely on you to hear all news from pton

I'm actually kind of disappointed. I remember looking at last years and there were more that I liked. These aren't as cool as freshman seminars. I hope I get assigned to the spring because I really want to take this English course (on essays) in the fall.

Quick question about seminar assignments: Since I'll (hopefully) be taking the HUM sequence, everyone seems to say that you most definitely should NOT take your writing seminar in the fall. If I'm assigned there, does anyone know how willing they are to change it?

I've heard they usually work with people in the HUM, so I wouldn't sweat it. You'll more than likely be able to move it to the spring if you're assigned a fall one.

On the website there is a schedule thing. You have two chances to request for changes. I'm sure it'll be fine.

In the seminar called Treason, do they teach you the finer points of a subtle betrayal? That can be a usefull skill in life!

i like 'small world' and the one on witches..think they would be interesting.
