I cannot/do not believe legacy isn't a big deal with regular decision - especially a quadruple one! I have two daughters at Wash U, and they know many siblings who attend - have not heard of a sibling being denied (though of course this must happen.) As for FOUR legacies? That is a big deal!

I agree with NUgraduate. I think being a legacy gives you a bigger bump applying ED, but it still will help in RD, especially when comparing you to a comparable applicant who is not a legacy. It definitely helps more if your legacy "name" is someone who has kept active with Wash U, not just a graduate who never contributes or communicates with any alumni group. It especially helps if they have a building, lounge or scholarship somewhere on campus with their name on it, or if co-workers refer to them as "Dean" or "Vice-Chancellor"! :)

Do you need financial aid? If not, as a quadruple legacy and with numbers which are perfectly reasonable but not stellar I think your chances are quite good.

Well, in our family we have a sibling legacy who was wait-listed/denied RD. I have no idea what would've happened had she applied ED that year. She currently attends Chicago. It does happen.
