College Board can’t send your scores without your permission, because they belong to you, not CB. The last I read, CB was going to use a flagging system for colleges that don’t honor Score Choice: If an applicant asks CB to send fewer than all SATs to a college that doesn’t honor Score Choice, CB will alert the college that the applicant has scores he or she is withholding. I’m not 100% sure that plan was implemented, but in any case, fuzzyfirebunny is right: Follow the rules. It’s just not worth trying to hide a score.

ok, just out of curiosity, can i just send my act scores? I understood, or I thought I did, that you either had to send all ACTs or all SATs, but if I did not send any of my SAT tests I was not obligated to send any of them. I do not want to pay the money to send those scores with having to pay for application fees, test fees, etc.

Where did you hear of this “flagging” system? And if it exists, will it ever be possible to confirm it’s existance?

It was discussed in a portion of the Counselors’ section of CB’s website last spring. I just tried to find it, but the page has been deleted, with the only relevant info the page entomom posted above. Looks like it’s the Honor system. I still strongly recommend that students follow individual colleges’ policies.

Post #22, you read the policy correctly. If you send ACT but also want to throw in a SAT II score, you must send ALL SAT scores. But if you stick with just ACT, no SATs required.
